CONSUMER & LUXURY
SEE THE WHOLE FIELD
The decision in front of you is rarely the only decision you’re making.
A luxury company was deciding where to manufacture a new product line. China offered established relationships, proven production capabilities, integrated sourcing, lower costs, and faster turnaround.
We looked beyond manufacturing alone, considering quality, access, geopolitics, customer perception, labor practices, sustainability, and what country of origin could mean for the brand. That broader view led the company to manufacture in the EU.
The outcome: One decision created advantages far beyond manufacturing. The company gained higher-quality production, closer access to partners, a manufacturing environment more aligned with its values, and a country of origin that strengthened the brand story.

DO IT DIFFERENTLY
Strategy can shape what you create. What you create can also shape the strategy.
A global media company wanted to broaden its audience. We set out to create a series that could appeal across generations, built on stories about family, innovation, and wish fulfillment.
We developed the concept, talent, storytelling, format, production, and commercial opportunity together around the audience the company wanted to reach. Rather than rely on manufactured conflict, the series centered on the people behind the builds and the emotional experience of seeing something imagined become real. As the creative took shape, it revealed how much larger the commercial opportunity could be.
The outcome: Commercial success with a broader audience created lasting enterprise value. The series became a #1 primetime hit, ran for more than 100 episodes across 11 seasons, and grew into a global franchise airing in more than 30 countries and territories.

UNLOCK POTENTIAL
Sometimes the opportunity is already there.
A cultural icon had extraordinary audience recognition and a valuable catalog, but his commercial profile had changed. At the same time, nostalgia was gaining cultural relevance, younger audiences were discovering earlier generations of music, and longtime fans were engaging with the artists they loved in new ways.
Rather than try to recreate past success, we set out to make what already existed relevant in a new context. We created a media and entertainment strategy that brought the catalog, artist, and audience together and created another way for the brand to reach people.
The outcome: An established brand turned existing equity into new growth. The strategy won Emmy Awards for the show and the artist, reintroduced a cultural icon to the moment, reached new audiences, and contributed to a broader commercial resurgence.

ENERGY & INFRASTRUCTURE
EARN YOUR WAY IN
Entering a new market is one thing. Succeeding in it is another.
A U.S.-based energy company wanted to expand into markets across Europe, Asia, and South America. The challenge wasn’t simply getting there. It was entering each market as a local, not a foreigner.
We built the market-entry strategy around establishing credibility before arrival. We assessed where the strongest opportunities existed and the political, regulatory, and cultural dynamics that could shape them. We identified the partners and local talent who could give the company standing it didn’t yet have, built relationships that could open doors, and determined how to position the company and enter each market.
The outcome: Global growth built on local credibility. The company established operations across three continents, expanding its reach, relationships, and opportunities.

SEIZE THE SHIFT
You operate for the world you know. Then the world changes.
A wellness company faced a changing trade environment. Tariffs and geopolitical uncertainty were affecting manufacturing costs, margins, product strategy, and the company’s message to stakeholders.
We advised leadership on how those changes were moving through the business, identifying where the economics still worked, where strategy needed to change, and how communications should evolve with it.
The outcome: Early action made external disruption a catalyst for a stronger business. Leadership reshaped the product strategy, protected margins, and redefined the company’s path forward around new economics.

CANNABIS & EMERGING
LEAD THROUGH UNCERTAINTY
When the rules are still being written, so is the opportunity.
An emerging cannabis company was ready to move from startup to enterprise. But the legal cannabis industry was still in its “Wild West” phase, with regulation, competition, consumer expectations, and the rules for building an enduring business still taking shape.
We looked at the company and the category together, defining what the business needed to become as the market evolved. That broader view expanded the opportunity beyond traditional cannabis consumers and into health and wellness, while revealing new possibilities for products, partnerships, revenue, and how the business could operate.
The outcome: The company didn’t wait for the category to define its future. It matured from startup to enterprise, expanding its markets, margins, partnerships, and influence.

AI & TECHNOLOGY
BUILD THE BACKBONE
Sometimes growth depends on what customers never see.
A fast-growing technology company was expanding its data center operations in the U.S. and the U.K. while it was being acquired. Its network and infrastructure were already under strain, and every client depended on them staying up.
We worked alongside the Chief Technology Officer to lead the expansion, bringing order to a complex build-out across two countries while navigating the acquisition. The priority throughout was simple: no existing client should feel the change.
The outcome: Growth and a change of ownership, without interruption. The company completed its expansion in both countries, kept every existing client online throughout, and protected its relationships and its value through the acquisition.

FINANCIAL & PROFESSIONAL
PROTECT THE RIGHT TO OPERATE
A regulatory problem isn’t just a regulatory one.
A regional stock exchange was facing federal regulatory scrutiny as technology and competition were reshaping the securities industry. Leadership needed to address the immediate regulatory problem while protecting the Exchange’s ability to operate, compete, and influence.
Working with executive leadership and senior board members, we looked beyond the regulatory process to what was at stake for the business. We provided political intelligence, shaped messaging, engaged members of Congress, administration officials, and other key stakeholders, and built coalitions with regional exchanges and emerging electronic trading interests.
The outcome: The business retained its ability to compete. The Exchange continued operating, maintained its position, and preserved its voice with policymakers and stakeholders.

LAUNCH TO SCALE
You have to build before you know what will work.
A new consumer brand was entering a red ocean, competing for attention in a category already filled with established players. The decisions that would define the business had to be made while the business itself was still taking shape.
We helped leadership bring the business to market and turn early evidence into decisions about where to invest, what to produce, and how to scale. As the market responded, we refined product, positioning, pricing, channels, partnerships, talent, and operations, building the capabilities and investment case required to support growth.
The outcome: What worked and what didn’t — both made the next decision better. The company raised millions in capital, year-over-year growth reached 33%, and average order value increased 75%, while the brand expanded across DTC and wholesale, built partnerships with athletes across professional sports, and earned coverage in leading industry and consumer media.

BREAK THE MOLD
Sometimes belief has to come before proof.
Less than a year after launching, a law firm wanted to compete with the industry’s elite. With little track record, it needed to define what it stood for, establish a distinctive direction, and give stakeholders a reason to choose it.
We approached positioning as a business decision. We helped leadership shape its purpose and direction and build a clear value proposition. We carried that thinking through narrative, voice, identity, media, engagement, and creative work, including a manifesto that brought the firm’s ambition to life and made clear what set it apart.
The outcome: What the firm stood for became how it competed. In less than two years, it grew to more than 70 high-caliber lawyers across six offices, secured litigation funding to scale, and built a national profile through high-profile cases, media visibility, and thought leadership.

MITIGATE RISK
A reputational hit can put more than reputation at risk.
A leading nutritional supplement company was one of several hit with claims by a respected consumer publication that several of its products contained levels of heavy metals that could pose health risks over time. The company was positioned for a sale, raising the stakes of any reputational damage.
We examined the company’s testing and quality-control procedures and found that it worked with an independent nonprofit organization to test and certify the quality and safety of its products. Independent testing found all of the company’s products safe and confirmed they had passed tests for potential contaminants beyond those identified in the report. We also provided context that the contaminants identified were naturally occurring and not uncommon in trace amounts in many agricultural and consumer products. We recommended a strong and swift response, leaving no room for the story to gain momentum and threaten the broader business.
The outcome: The risk never became a crisis. The brand became the No. 1 ready-to-drink protein beverage brand and was acquired for $450 million.

MAXIMIZE THE OPPORTUNITY
A buyer sees your business differently than a customer does.
A wave of consolidation was reshaping entertainment as global media groups acquired production companies. The business was in demand, and leadership saw a window to pursue an exit. What networks and studios valued was only part of what potential buyers found attractive.
We mapped the acquisition landscape to identify strategic fit and helped leadership prioritize reducing concentration risk, increasing owned IP, focusing the pipeline, and developing international properties. We shaped its positioning, elevated leadership visibility, and brought together the right partners before taking the company to market.
The outcome: The exit wasn’t built on past performance alone, but on what a buyer believed could come next. The company drew competitive interest and was ultimately valued at 8x EBITDA.
